does i-goldhosting.com's Anonymous Hosting work?
Anonymous Hosting
is a service we provide for discriminating clients who wish to host
their websites without disclosing their personal and business information.
We purchase domain name(s) and hold them in a trust for you based
on a numbered account that we supply to you. We host your website(s)
without collecting any data on you, your business and we can do this
without requiring a credit card.
Domains that you transfer to our Domain Trust require a special process.
You must have access to the admin email on your domain whois record
and it may take up to 7 days to make the transfer. We will communicate
with you during this process.

- How
can we communicate anonymously with you?
Your initial contact with us should be by phone, icq or through a web
based email of your choosing. Using this method ensures your privacy.
Once you establish an account with us, we can provide a secured url
that we will use by request to speak back and forth with you in privacy.

- Is there
a minimum time contract/commitment?
Not at all. You can pay for 3, 6, or 12 months in advance. You can also
cancel at any time.

- How soon
will my account be set up and ready for use?
Account orders are placed in a queue and are processed in the order
in which they are received. Your site will be uploaded to our servers
before your domain name will be accessible. It takes between 24-48 hours
for the domain name server (DNS) update to occur. As an ISP, we have
no control over DNS record modification.

- Do I
have access to update my site 24 hours a day?
Absolutely. Whether you're a day person or a night owl, your site is
available for you to update.

- Can you
register a domain name for me? Can you set up domains other than .com,
.org, and .net?
You can order a domain name directly through our domain trust. Within
a few minutes we can supply any domain name extention that is available
for registration including any top level country code domain.

- Do you
offer a money back guarantee?
Yes. If for any reason during the first 14 days as an anonymous hosting
customer, you are not completely satisfied with any of our services,
you may cancel your account and request a refund of your money - any
setup and domain name fees.

do I pay for your services anonymously?
You have many options depending on the services you select. For hosting
you may pay for 3, 6, or 12 months in advance. Listed in order of
anonymity and speed we recommend:

your account when sending
cash although we have never had a problem with this.

- I see
some hosts offering "unlimited bandwidth". Why don't you offer
this?
Technically speaking, there is no such thing as "unlimited bandwidth."
Someone has to pay for the traffic somewhere - and if you check the
fine print of some service agreements from companies who claim to offer
unlimited bandwidth, you'll probably find that they do charge for traffic
over a certain amount. We dispense with the fine print.

- Do you
host hate sites, warez sites or sites containing illegal material?
No. Please see our Terms
of Service for policies regarding this. If
you break this policy we reserve the right to cancel your service without
prior notification. You must respect the laws in your home country and
any other country that allows your site to be viewed
in order to maintain an account with Katz.

- Is my
site backed up and how often?
It is the clients responsibility to do all back ups of their site. If,
in the unfortunate event, something happens to your files, it is your
responsibility to have a local copy of your files. We
are NOT held liable in any
way for any files, money, time, effort, etc... lost due to this unfortunate
event. Furthermore, if your files are lost, we will attempt to restore
them as a gesture of good faith, but make no promises what so ever about
whether the files will be brought back successfully or not. Again, back
ups are the client's responsibility.
That being said, we do run backups once every two weeks
on our unix and windows servers running plesk and once per week on our
unix servers running cpanel.

- How fast are
your connections?
Our servers are located in Network Operations Centers (NOCs) in Dallas,
TX, Scranton, PA , New Jersey, NJ and Tucson, AZ. The servers and networks
are monitored around the clock. We provide multiple OC3's, and Tier
2 options all with high security facilities. The account you choose
determines the physical location of your site or server.

- What are your
server specifications?
Current servers are Dual Pentium 4's with redundant hard drives, redundant
power supplies and over 2 gigs of memory, or better. We
also provide supercomputer blade hosting options sold by the slice on
our dedicated and semi-dedicated plans. We also still have some Pentium
III servers running
because they are still great running machines after all.

Technical
Questions
- I changed
my control panel password and now I can't get in.
Passwords are case sensitive and are limited to 8 characters. If you
entered a password longer than 8 characters please try entering the
first 8 characters when logging into your control panel.

- How do
I get my email on your plesk admin plans?
If you're familiar with your email client's setup, use the following
information to retrieve email from your POP account:
Incoming mail (POP3) server:
mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:
mail.yourisp.com
* set SMTP authorization within
your email program to have the server authenticate you as a registered
account holder.
* You may access your email online from any computer worldwide. The
instructions were included in your setup instructions email.

- I want
to get started right away, but my domain name hasn't transferred/isn't
in the database yet. How do I do it?
The welcome email we send you has complete details on uploading your
site to the server immediately through a FTP application. After
your domain is fully propagated through the system, you can upload access
your website through your browser and email services.

should I put CGI scripts for my domain?
All CGI scripts should be uploaded to the cgi-bin folder, for your domain.
Be sure to follow the instructions for the script you are uploading
regarding setting permissions on the files and folders you create, as
they vary from script to script

- I uploaded
my files, but I don't see my page?
If our default "yoursite.com is coming soon", index.html,
has not been replaced by another index page, then anyone going to domainname.com
will still see that page instead of some other home page. This is the
order in which the web server looks for a page to put up as the "home"
page: >DirectoryIndex: index.html, index.shtml Just delete
the index.html file and anything after it in this list will then come
up automatically. Notice that "home.shtml" is NOT on the list
and so will not show up as your home page. You would need to rename
it.

- What
happens if I go over the bandwidth limit for my account?
If you exceed the bandwidth or disk space limit for your account you
will be automatically notified by email and the overage amount will
be automatically billed at a rate of $5 per gigabyte per month for bandwidth
and $3 per 100mb per month for disk space, or you may purchase another
account to cover the overage. If we catch it in time, we will make an
offer for you to upgrade your plan.

is the cost for additional features?
You can add additional features to the plan that you signed up for.

- How do
I cancel my Account?
You can cancel your account at any time by sending email to info@e-goldhosting.com
There are no cancellation fees, and no notice is required, but we ask
for a 15 day courtesy notification. Any fees paid to that point are
non-refundable, unless cancellation is made within 14 days of opening
the account. Abandoning our website is not canceling it. You must notify
us in order to cancel your billing.

- What
about billing and over due policies?
Accounts will be given a grace period of 7 days, if payment is not received
within the grace period your account and sites will be suspended and
a $20 deactivation fee will be required to unsuspend your account and
make your sites visible again. After 20 days, your account will be canceled
and your sites will be removed from our servers. A $40 setup fee will
apply to set up a previously removed account. We reserve the right to
refuse service to anyone who has not kept an account in good standing.
